Saturday December 12th 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In St Andrews the sun rises at about 8.30 am in winter and to see this over the white sand beach and north sea was one of my favourite things about the small city on the sea. Knowing this Matt got me up to watch it. It was a little foggy so the sun couldn't really be seen but i soaked up the fresh (particularly after a few days in London) air and enjoyed the sand beneath my feet. We walked along to maybe the middle of the huge beach so it was just us....

Matt got down on one knee pulled out a beautiful beautiful ring from his pocket and proposed!

I said yes.

It was perfect ...

Yippee I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend!

Beautiful gifts

As I settle down to watch a small installment of 'North and South', after a hard day of studying the law, I cannot help but be thankful. I am constantly reminded of Matt's generosity and love as I sit on my bed and smell the wonderful orchids that sit beside me. They are also very beautiful! I attach pictures which cannot demonstrate the smell (they stink the room out in a fabulous way!) or the beauty but just give a taste of my present company.

There are no 'ok' pictures of the deep purple orchid...it does not like to have its picture taken.

Last few days of freedom...

Post lunch baking ... yummy but far too many for me!

Before law school starts on Monday I am attempting to have some fun whilst alone in a new house (house-mates have not yet arrived!), in a new city. So I am cooking lots of soup, apple sauce and cookies. I love it and can't wait until I can do it all the time ... and have a bigger freezer to put all the goodies in! At least I will not have to worry about food for the first few weeks of crazy-ness. I am attempting a three year law degree as a post-graduate in one year...from what I have heard I will have no life.

Matt bought me sunflowers! Oh so sunny...I forgot how much I loved them until I saw them in the shop.

A close up of the beautiful flowers gracing my desk.

Before I moved up North I also had a lot of fun sewing at home. These are just a tiny sample but I do like them, my favourite is a small pillow but I just can not get a decent picture of it. The above is just meant to show the flower...it was my first attempt and I was quite pleased with it.

Have a wonderful rest of September!

Yay

Well i just had to post this to say how great American people are...firstly my friends...they are great...enough said!

Secondly the lovely lady at the bank...so helpful and you can phone direct instead of phoning via India which is just great...they sort out the problem and that is it...no bother.

My dissertation is in on Friday so a little panic but I think I am too clam for the situation...still much to do but plenty of time.

Christmas was fun...family, dissertation...etc.

Hope all have a happy and successful 2009!
